Christmas is right around the corner! So I wanted to share some of my favorite new products with you all, in case you were looking for some gift ideas. These gifts may be totally not your style, and that’s ok! They’re certainly not for everyone. It takes a specific type of health/sustainability junkie to put any of these on their wish list. But personally, I would be overjoyed to receive any of these gifts this year (hint hint, mom), and maybe your loved ones would too! Some of them are nutrition-related, others sustainability-related, and others fitness-related. To find them online, just click on the heading above each image and the link will pull up! Let’s dive in!
Matcha Tea
I know what you’re thinking. “Of course Georgia would put this as the very first gift recommendation. She’s one of those weird people that’s completely obsessed with matcha.” Well, what can I say? Maybe I’m onto something folks! Dare someone to try this amazing green drink and get it for them! It may change their life like it did mine! Or, maybe you happen to know someone that already loves matcha, and in that case, there’s really no question of what to get them. Personally, as a broke college student, it’s a pain to have to buy my own matcha because it can be a bit pricey. And it’s hard to find most places in-store. So do those broke college students in your life a favor and get them this!
Fitbit
Ok, I know it seems like I’m completely behind on the times with this one. I can already hear people saying, “But haven’t you heard of an apple watch? Just get that instead.” But personally, I just really really love fitbits. They tell me just the amount of information I want to know: my steps, my sleep, my heart rate. In all honesty, when I put my phone away, I don’t want to still get text messages from my watch. It’s hard enough to get away from my phone as it is, much less if it’s attached to me all day long. If you know someone who would like that, perhaps an apple watch is the way to go! But if they’re anything like me, go with a fitbit instead.
Smart Scale
I personally do not have one of these but I definitely want one. Just stepping on this scale will tell you your weight, your body fat percentage, and your BMI. That’s amazing. It’s really great for those who are working on gaining muscle. This way, you’re able to track your progress with muscle mass, rather than just seeing your weight. How great is that?!
Bamboo Utensils
This is one that I just started using this year and love it. Not only do you always have your own utensils on you, but you can feel good about not tossing another set of plastic utensils in the trash. They’re cute and dishwasher-safe, so really easy to keep clean!
Reusable Straws
Sustainability-junky or not, I think most people could probably benefit from this gift. There are so many times throughout the day that we use straws and we don’t even realize it. Having these to carry around is a great way to eliminate plastic straw waste. Plus, they come with really nice straw-scrubbies, so you don’t have to worry about them getting gross over time!
Mrs. Meyer’s Cleaning Set
Ah, Mrs. Meyer’s. Everybody’s favorite cleaning supply brand. So why not get them some for Christmas?! I started using these recently and love them. The mission of Mrs. Meyer’s is to create simple, sustainable, effective cleaning products without harsh chemicals. This is something that everyone needs. So why not get it for them this year?
Spiralizer
This is another that I’ve recently started using and it’s a total game changer. (Check out my recipe for zoodles here.) This is such a great tool to incorporate more veggies into your diet! Don’t get me wrong, I love pasta now and then. But making veggie-noodles is great for day-to-day meals!
Yoga Mat
Whether you do yoga or not, having a yoga mat around is really useful. Even if you just use it to stretch, it’s a great alternative to the hard floor. They’re also great for quick at-home workouts!
RXBARs
RXBARs is another one of those things that I just can’t get enough of. (See why here.) And they’re actually becoming really popular. So the health-junky in your life has probably heard of them and either loves them already, or wants to try them! So go out and get them some!
Air Fryer
In all honesty, I don’t have one of these. But I’ve heard so many wonderful things about them, and I’m always up for clever ways to eliminate saturated fat from food! If you know someone who feels the same, definitely go check it out!
NutriBullet
Yes, the famous NutriBullet. I had to put it on this list, even though pretty much everyone has heard of it already. The Bullet is seriously amazing. It revolutionized the blender industry (at least in my opinion), and makes smoothies so quickly and they turn out really smooth. If you know a smoothie-lover, this is a great gift option!
Milk Frother
This is a good cheap gift option or stocking stuffer! I love my milk frother. I bought this exact one when I realized how much money I was spending at coffee shops just because I wanted foamed milk. It has seriously saved me a ton. And it’s super fun and easy to use!
Joggers
Lastly are these unbelievably comfy joggers from Under Armour. I bought a pair on Black Friday this year and they have seriously changed my life. (I’m not joking.) I’ve never worn something so soft and comfortable in my life. I pretty much live in them now. They are a great gift for any girl in your life that values the cute workout style, but more importantly, comfort!
There it is folks. My comprehensive 2018 Christmas Gift Guide for the health/sustainability junkies in your life. Hopefully you found at least some of these suggestions helpful! (Or maybe you thought they were all completely insane, which is fine too.) Either way, happy shopping this holiday season!
